2009 Season - Week 9
Owners Hall of Fame
Some great banter and canvassing for votes last week. I’ve got 10 votes in now so just need nominations from AP, Craig, Dave G, David S, H and Wayne, guys if you did send yours in and I missed it under the torrent of e-mails last week I apologise, please drop me the name again. If not you have until November 21st to email me the owners name you wish to place in the Hall of Fame, Owners Wing. Please note there is no room for narcissism in the BUMS - YOU MAY NOT VOTE FOR YOURSELF.
Half Term Report
So with 9 weeks gone and 8 to go it’s time to see how the season has gone so far. We welcomed a new owner to the BUMS and Craig showed great early form putting up 48 points in his debut week. He has played strongly and is still well in the chase for promotion but has just dropped to third after putting up the smallest score of the season so far (just 3 points). Still he can take heart from Dave G who was within an hour of going into the Hall of Shame last week and rebounded to put up this week’s top score as his 40 points helped him jump from 8th to 6th. 2 owners have visited the scoring Hall of Fame, H in week 2 and Cheryl in week 3, we’ve released our first CD Now That’s What I Call BUMS Music volume 1 – a second volume is planned. 28 players were cut on Trading Day 1 and despite being on honeymoon Mark made 5 changes. 4 players were added to the Hall of Fame QB’s Kurt Warner, Drew Brees and Donovan McNabb and Tight End Tony Gonzalez. We’ve combined for 3,515 points and so are on pace for 6,639 the 8th highest total (2004 – 7,213pts).
Trading Day 2 & Thanksgiving.
Make a note in the diary Trading Day 2 is on November 22nd before the week 11 games. The Thanksgiving games are the following Thursday November 26th at HQ live from 5:30 starting with Green Bay at Detroit and at 9:15 the mighty Oakland Raiders travel to Dallas. Cheryl will be doing a Thanksgiving Day Dinner.
